LinusLINUS ROACHE – as Moores
Linus Roache first gained worldwide recognition as the title character in Antonia Bird’s critically acclaimed film, PRIEST. Roache’s film credits include Robert Celestino’s YONKERS JOE (with Chazz Palminteri and premiering at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival), Mira Nair’s THE NAMESAKE, Sidney Lumet’s FIND ME GUILTY, Michael Cuesta’s 12 AND HOLDING, Chris Nolan’s BATMAN BEGINS, Joseph Ruben’s THE FORGOTTEN, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK and John Furse’s BLIND FLIGHT, opposite Ian Hart, for which he received a nomination by Scottish BAFTA, in the Best Actor category. Additional films include Iain Softley’s screen adaptation WINGS OF THE DOVE, opposite Helena Bonham Carter, Martin Campbell’s BEYOND BORDERS, co-starring Angelina Jolie, John Polson’s SIAM SUNSET, Gregory Hoblit’s HART’S WAR, and Julian Temple’s PANDAEMONIUM, for which Roache won the Best Actor award at the Evening Standard Film Awards. Linus received a Golden Globe® nomination for his portrayal of Robert Kennedy in the F/X television film, RFK, and also co-starred in HBO’s award-winning THE GATHERING STORM, for which he won the Golden Satellite Award for best actor in a supporting role.  His other television projects include leading roles in SHOT THROUGH THE HEART, also for HBO, and the BBC miniseries SEAFORTH. He has more recently appeared in NBC’s series KIDNAPPED and currently stars in LAW & ORDER, also on NBC.  His extensive theatrical experience includes seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre of Great Britain as well as the 2000 Almeida theater world tour of RICHARD II and CORIOLANUS, opposite Ralph Fiennes which also played at Brooklyn Academy of Music. 

LinusRAHUL BOSE – as T.K.
Rahul Bose’s theatrical career includes a prolific body of work culminating in his last performance at the Leicester Haymarket in England where he played the lead in Tim Murari’s THE SQUARE CIRCLE. His film career took off with ENGLISH, AUGUST and continued with SPLIT WIDE OPEN (Best Actor, Singapore Film Festival, 2000), MR. AND MRS. IYER, and JHANKAAR BEATS – all international award-winning films. Time magazine called him ‘the superstar of Indian art house cinema’ while Maxim (Italy), ‘the Sean Penn of Oriental cinema’.  Last year he played the lead in Aparna Sen’s 15 PARK AVENUE. His work in Buddhadev Dasgupta’s KAALPURUSH has provisionally won the National Award for Best Film, 2006 and was also in the Master’s Section of the Toronto International Film Festival and Berlin Film Festival this year. His films awaiting release include Rajeev Virani’s THE WHISPERERS and BEFORE THE RAINS, directed by Santosh Sivan. His latest release is PYAAR KE SIDE EFFECTS.  Two retrospectives of his body of work have been held:  Geneva in 2004, and the second at the Masala! Mehndi! Masti! Festival in Toronto in July 2007. Rahul is currently shooting with Aparna Sen for THE JAPANESE WIFE. Rahul wrote and directed his first feature film, EVERYBODY SAYS I’M FINE! which won an Honorable Mention for  The John Schlesinger Award for Best Debut Feature Film, at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, 2003 and a Gold Award at the World Fest in Houston.

Rahul's efforts for gender equality and non-discrimination have led him to start his own NGO, lecture at Oxford, and write extensively on the topics. Rahul is also a member of the Indian rugby team.  Currently residing in Bombay, Rahul divides his time between Los Angeles, London and India.

LinusNANDITA DAS – as Sajani
Nandita Das is known to audiences around the world for her critically acclaimed performances in films like FIRE, EARTH and SANDSTORM, among others. She has performed in over 30 feature films in ten different languages, many of which have been showcased in numerous international film festivals and won her accolades. She was a member of the main jury at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, 2005 and the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, 2007.

Known to never shy away from a controversial issue or an unconventional role, Nandita Das has attracted the attention of artists, critics and film lovers across the globe. She has always believed in the role of cinema as a powerful instrument for social change, and the projects she has participated in bear witness to that. Her passion and commitment comes from her background as a social activist.

She was an active member of a street theatre group during her university studies, and soon after that completed her Masters in Social Work. Nandita has worked with various NGOs and continues to advocate human rights issues. She has been a featured speaker at various universities and social forums, both in India and abroad.

She is currently working on her directorial debut feature, IN SUCH TIMES.

LinusJENNIFER EHLE – as Laura
Ehle was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to English actress Rosemary Harris and American author John Ehle. She spent her childhood mainly in America before attending drama school in London. In 1991, she starred in the mini-series THE CAMOMILE LAWN. Four years later, and after a season at The RSC, her performance as Elizabeth Bennet in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE for the BBC gained her a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Best Actress award. She had her first major film role in PARADISE ROAD directed by Bruce Beresford and went on to be nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Award for her part in WILDE. In 2OOO she appeared opposite Ralph Fiennes in Istvan Zsabo’s critically acclaimed film SUNSHINE for which she was nominated for a Canadian Genie Award. She won a Tony Award for her 2000 Broadway debut in Tom Stoppard's THE REAL THING. After a hiatus, she returned to the stage in 2005 for THE PHILADELPHIA STORY opposite Kevin Spacey. In June 2006 she starred as Lady Macbeth opposite Liev Schreiber in The Public Theater's production of MACBETH, as part of the Shakespeare in the Park series.  Aside from BEFORE THE RAINS, forthcoming films include PRIDE AND GLORY with Edward Norton and Colin Farrell.  From October 2006 until May 2007 she played three parts in the Tom Stoppard trilogy THE COAST OF UTOPIA at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, for which she won the 2007 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

JOHN STANDING – as Humphries
John Standing was born in London and educated at Eton College and Millfield School, Somerset. He then served in the King's Royal Rifle Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant, before going to study at the Byam Shaw School of the Arts, London.  He has worked productively on both the London and New York stage, with leading parts in Oscar Wilde's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, RING AROUND THE MOON, A SENSE OF DETACHMENT by John Osborne, and Noel Coward's PRIVATE LIVES, with Maggie Smith. He made his film debut in THE WILD AND THE WILLING (1962), going on to appear in KING RAT (1965), THE PSYCHOPATH (1966), THE EAGLE HAS LANDED (1976), THE ELEPHANT MAN (1980), NIGHTFLYERS (1987), MRS. DALLOWAY (1997), A GOOD WOMAN (2004) and V IS FOR VENDETTA (2005).  One of his first major television roles was as Sidney Godolphin in the BBC blockbuster, THE FIRST CHURCHILLS(1969). Other television appearances have included TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY (1979), and THE CHOIR (1995), and KING SOLOMON’S MINES (2004). During the 1980s he played opposite Lorraine Chase in the ITV sitcom THE OTHER ‘ARF.  In the U.S., he has graced numerous weekly programs including L.A. LAW, CIVIL WARS and MURDER SHE WROTE, and co-starred briefly with Robert Wagner and the late Samantha Smith in the action series LIME STREET (1985).
